Objectives:
After completion of the Program, the students will be able to:
- Apply the knowledge of physical, biological and behavioral sciences, medicine including alternative systems and in providing care to individuals, families and communities.
- Provide care based on the scientific process in collaboration with the individuals, groups and other health team members.
- Assess health status and identify needs, plan, implement and evaluate care for individuals, families and communities and provide promotive, preventive, and restorative health services in line with national health programmes.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of the scientific principles underlying the techniques and methods used in for providing holistic care to the sick in the hospital and in the community.
- Develop the student's sensitivity and skill in human relationships and communication in daily work.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills in making decisions in all situations in order to provide quality health care.
- Demonstrate leadership and administrative skills in working with the health care team, community and others in the provision of health care.
- Develop teaching as well as management skills and conduct need based research in various settings and utilize the research findings to improve the quality of health care
- Recognize the need for continued learning for personal and professional development and contribute towards the advancement of self and to the profession.
- Practice ethical values in personal and professional life
